Benefits and Allowances in Kazakhstan 2026: How to Get the Maximum Benefit from the State

In 2026 the state continues to index payments by 10 %. The Monthly Calculation Index (MRP) has increased to 4,325 tenge and the subsistence minimum to 50,851 tenge. This means that benefit amounts have automatically risen. But real money will only reach those who submit applications on time and provide correct data.

Most services are already online. You can check eligibility and apply for a payment in 5–10 minutes from your phone. The main thing is not to wait for an “automatic” payment and not to trust anyone who promises “guaranteed” money for a fee.

• One-time benefits — paid once (for example, upon the birth of a child).
• Monthly benefits — paid every month while the right exists (childcare, large families, disability).
• Targeted Social Assistance (ASP) — for families where per capita income is below the regional poverty line. Granted quarterly + an additional 1.5 MRP (≈ 6,488 tenge) per child aged 1–6.
• Category-based benefits — based on status (disability, large family, loss of breadwinner). Not dependent on income.
• Housing assistance — subsidy for utilities and rent if expenses exceed 5–20 % of family income (the percentage is set by the region). Fully online from July 2026.
• Payments from the State Social Insurance Fund (SSIF) — for working people: maternity, childcare, job loss, loss of ability to work.

Benefits for families with children
- One-time childbirth allowance:
